About You

YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED SEO BUT ARE NOT HAPPY

This is why I became an SEO consultant – so I can focus upon solving SEO problems and turning them around. I don’t offer ten different services, I do Search Engine Optimisation. I’m so confident that I can do a better job than your current provider that I’ll spend time, for free, looking at your problem and giving you an idea of what is wrong. If you want me to then fix it, great, if not then this is fine too but I think once you’ve put me to the test you’ll accept that I know my onions.

YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR TECHNICAL SEO ISSUE

I bet I can fix it! I am an SEO nerd and I love a challenge.

YOU’VE BEEN DOING YOUR OWN SEO & NOW NEED HELP.

No problem, I see a lot of website owners in this position. To a certain extent everyone wants to do their own SEO when they’re starting out and there is nothing wrong with that. But once you’re more established SEO becomes a new beast and it’s best being passed to an expert, let’s chat.

YOU WANT TO REDUCE YOUR PPC SPEND & INCREASE YOUR SEO CLICKS.

I work with a few different PPC people and they are all great at what they do. People who use Google know the difference between paid adverts and “organic” results and for this reason, more tend to click anywhere except the ads.

If you have organic results at the top of Google, you have to make the decision whether you want to keep distributing the cost of PPC clicks and your SEO spend. If PPC is generating you an ROI then it’s ok to keep it in play, however, you are effectively stealing free clicks from your organic results.

Organic results appear for dozens or hundreds of variations of keywords too, imagine trying to pay for all of those with your Google ads budget!

YOU’RE A FREELANCER OR AGENCY WHO WANTS TO SELL SEO.

Ok, let’s have a chat. I’ve worked with agencies for many years both in a white label and consultancy role.

NONE OF THESE BUT I’D LIKE TO ASK A QUESTION.

Ok great! I have a form for that, remember I’m happy to help. I’d like you to become a client but if I can help other people when they are stuck then my personal life goals are being met.

About Me & My Team

I DON’T JUST DO SEO 9 to 5, FOR ME IT’S 24/7

I can still remember in June 2008 when I worked in IT support, one of my team members showing me how they were making money online using SEO. I picked it up and never looked back. I’ve been doing it ever since and started working with business owners years later. Today, I work on my own projects as well as helping others get the best out of their own SEO.

I’VE BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE INTERNET SINCE 1994 & SEO SINCE IT BEGAN

The learning resource centre at John Moore’s university didn’t have a clue when I asked them what the leaflet about “the internet” was. The next semester it was rolled out across all the campus PC’s. I’d always tinkered with FTP and Telnet but this was different and I was hooked straight away. I started making websites in Frontpage and progressed onto Dreamweaver. I never stopped.

I AM EX-FORCES (RAF)

I am proud to have served my country for 7 years, from 1999 to 2006. I was promoted quickly through the ranks during my service and continued to lead technology teams after leaving. This mindset of dedication and excellence carries over into my work in SEO. My integrity is everything to me, so is getting things right.

I LOVE HELPING PEOPLE

My source of income doesn’t depend on having clients for my skills. Although it may not sound very professional on a page specifically focused on SEO services in Warrington, my daily actions are driven by my personal values. I live my life following two simple rules: 1) Taking care of my family and 2) Enjoying my day.

Helping people who are stuck is something I enjoy. To live our best lives in this confusing and constantly changing world, we should support each other. Treating others as we want to be treated is essential since life is too short for anything else. I only accept clients who share this belief, so if you do, let’s work together.

MY TEAM

As Covid transformed the modern workplace, many businesses turned to remote working. SEO is no exception – embracing this shift in style, I decided to assemble a team of digital nomads who also embrace a happier / freer lifestyle.

I think it’s sometimes important to still meet face to face and so we have kept an office in the Wirral, but I enjoy nothing more than getting away in my VW Camper (T5). Working takes on a new meaning when you’re surrounded by fresh air & stunning views… all whilst firing up your laptop & tackling projects from afar 🚐💻

My team are writers, link builders and account handlers, all from the UK and all living their best lives too. My results and dedication to you as a client are better because I don’t have the same overheads or trappings as a digital agency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SEO and how does it help my Warrington based business?

Your business needs customers (of course it does!), so where are they? In this day and age, it’s almost certain that your customers are online and using the Google search engine. In fact, a recent study found that over 90% of online experiences begin with a search engine. This means that if you want to reach potential customers, you need to be visible online.

So, how do you tap into them? How do you ensure that YOUR business shows up when your customers are looking for your services or products?

The answer lies in effective SEO.

To put it simply, SEO is the process of tweaking your website and online content in order to show up higher in search results when people search for certain keywords. This can help your business get more visibility and attract more potential customers.

To begin with SEO, you should first pinpoint the most suitable keywords and phrases that match your business and location. For instance, if you own a beauty salon in Warrington, then consider concentrating on keywords like “Warrington beauty salon” or “hair and beauty services in Warrington”. This approach will improve your chances of being discovered by potential customers in your nearby area.

Once you’ve identified your target keywords, it’s important to optimize your website and content accordingly. This might include optimizing your website’s meta tags, headers, and content to include your target keywords, as well as building backlinks from reputable websites and creating high-quality, informative content that resonates with your target audience.

Investing in effective SEO strategies is a long-term commitment that demands continuous attention and maintenance. However, it comes with significant returns, such as enhanced website traffic, better brand recognition, and more conversions. With proper planning and staying ahead of the competition, you can leverage your online presence to improve your Warrington-based business for years to come.

How does Google work?

Google strives to provide its users with the most relevant answers to their search queries. In urgent cases, such as when you require an emergency plumber, you are more likely to select the local search results or the paid advertisements displayed at the top of Google’s search results.

Most people who use Google are not actually looking to make a purchase, but are just browsing. Google can determine the type of search intent and will display relevant websites accordingly, although it may not always be entirely accurate. Despite this, Google remains the most widely used search engine and the main focus for SEO providers. Other search engines like Bing and Yahoo are less commonly used.

To find new content, Google uses a “search bot” that scans websites and adds the findings to its index. When a user enters a search query, Google compares it to its index and displays the most relevant results. Google also takes into account factors like the number of backlinks to a website before ranking it in the search results.

When you search for something on Google, it uses an algorithm to search the internet for relevant results. In addition to this, Google has a stored version of websites it has previously scanned, called a cache. This cache can also be used to provide search results.

Using Google’s cached version can be helpful for accessing information from a website that is no longer available or not working correctly. Even though the cached version may not show recent changes, it can still provide valuable data that would otherwise be unavailable.

What approach do you take to your SEO campaign?

It depends upon where your customers are and how competitive your industry is. At the end of the day, your competitors got to the top of Google somehow and it is possible to reverse engineer how they did it, then make a gap analysis and strategy to bridge the gap between you both.

In simple terms, think of SEO as fixing the technical stuff on your website to ensure you have a good foundation then apart from checking it regularly for changes, a rinse and repeat cycle of publishing content and acquiring backlinks happens. How much content and what type of / quanitity of links required really just depends on how many keywords your audience are typing in and what links we need to build to beat the competition.

Do we have to use your writers?

No not really, it depends upon why you want to write your own. Each piece of content requires optimisation and this is often based upon what Google shows us is working. Your article or page needs to be comparable but ultimiately better and this means in terms of usage of language, the specific placement of keywords and content length. It also goes beyond this into a more technical realm such as internal linking topically relevant silo structures together and ensuring a good flow of authority between each piece of content.

We can work with your own writing team as long as the SEO side of things stops with us.

How long will it take to see SEO results?

Like everything else in SEO this isn’t a straight forward answer. It depends upon how competitive your industry is and where you are with your website right now. If you are a startup and your website has no age or authority (in SEO terms) then results will take longer, perhaps 6 months or more. If you have some age and authority but haven’t been getting good SEO results then usually, in my experience, fixing the problems on your website and building some fresh new links will usually see results within a month or two. On the other hand if you are already doing well with your SEO but have hit a ceiling, my approach to SEO might just see your results sky rocket within a few weeks (I’ve seen it happen many times).

There’s lots of SEO agencies in Warrington, why Graham SEO?

First of all, to be clear, Graham SEO is not a one-man show; it is a registered and incorporated business that has been in operation since 2014. The business is registered for VAT.

Our small group includes writers, content creators, link builders, technical SEOs, and client management personnel who collaborate closely.

We have been delivering successful results to our clients for over 15 years, and the majority of our clients come to us through referrals from satisfied customers. If you are still unsure about which company to choose, we invite you to give us the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities.

Graham McCormack, who is highly experienced in SEO consulting, leads the team as the owner of the company.

The bottom line is what you will receive as a return on your investment.

Our SEO Warrington page showcases concrete results that are indisputable, instead of displaying irrelevant examples of past projects.

We do not use any unethical techniques or suspicious ways to obtain backlinks in our practices.

We will happily evaluate the work of your current SEO provider and provide you with reliable information about your business status. This will help you understand how your business is currently doing and the potential benefits of working with us instead.

We also provide website management services and comprehensive technological support to our clients. We assist with both digital and non-digital requirements, and our existing customers can affirm our numerous successful collaborations. Our commitment to ensuring a successful relationship with our clients is unwavering.

How much does SEO cost?

It’s usually the number one thing people want to know.

Our goal is to make sure that you get your money’s worth through our campaigns, which aim to provide a good return on investment. Our pricing starts at £500+vat per month for local SEO and £1250+vat per month for national campaigns, based on the size of your target market and your current SEO status.

It ultimately varies based on your industry and objectives. Both content and backlinks have associated expenses and the amount required is determined by your desired outcomes.

I will create a personalised campaign for you, but I will try to keep it within your budget while still achieving results. Typically, you can increase your investment as you begin to see a return on investment and gain confidence in the strategy.

I’ve seen cheaper SEO services – why?

Business owners are often attracted to low-cost SEO services due to their affordability.

I’ve literally had people laugh at my quotes saying things like “I can go get a fiverr gig for £30 why would I pay you monthly!”

In short, you get what you pay for.

Cheap links usually means that the person selling you them are likely using shady tactics that Google’s spam team are actively watching out for.

They are public links that Google knows about and they will shut you down faster than you can say “oops”.

I’ve even had the owner of a digital marketing agency once tell me that Google don’t penalise legitimate businesses, until I showed him some ahrefs graphs of the BBC and CNET being hit by Google updates and losing millions of viewers.

BBC-lost-19-million-keywords-overnight-to-Google-update

I wouldn’t be doing SEO for this long if cheap SEO actually worked. The process is more complex than many people believe.

Google has a team dedicated to preventing people who use SEO tactics, and their algorithm is so sensitive that even experienced veterans may be affected by it occasionally.

SEO and PPC

PPC and SEO can be difficult to distinguish. Here’s a simple explanation:

If you pay Google to be at the top of the search results, you will be charged for each click on your ad. However, as most people recognize these ads, they often prefer to click on the “organic” results that appear below the ads.

To run a Google ads campaign, you need to specify the keywords that you want your ad to show up for and the ones you don’t. However, if you use as many keywords as an organic search result, which tends to get more clicks, you may end up spending a lot of money at a faster rate.

The organic search results include not just the primary focus keyword but also the related keywords that can have different variations. This is similar to how broad match keywords work in Google Ads.

The majority of searches on Google are distinct and follow the 80/20 rule, where the main keyword accounts for only 20% of the total searches. It is challenging to predict the remaining 80%. While Google Ads can be activated or deactivated to fit your budget promptly, organic SEO results take more time to surface.

If I sign up for SEO, what happens next?

1. I will make a technical assessment of your website and set about fixing all of the errors that will affect your SEO.

2. I will ensure that your website is backed up and configured correctly in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, if required Inspectlet and other tracking software. I will make sure that the appropriate events are being tracked as goals and that I am recording your Google rankings ready for your monthly report.

3. I will then make an assessment for the opportunities for quick wins on your website and set about creating these to ensure success.

4. I will then assess your competitors and create a strategy based on their weaknesses.

5. I will look for opportunities for growth beyond what you or your competitors are doing and continue to track, amplify and improve your website and the new content that may have been produced each and every month.

Does that sound like a good plan?

Remember, I don’t tie you into a contract, and compared to agencies my fees are lower, you deal with me directly and I’m an SEO specialist who has only one aim – to help grow your bottom line with organic website traffic growth.

I am based in Wirral but I can work with you no matter in the world you are but if you are based in Warrington I can certainly help.

Can you offer any other business marketing advice?

SEO should only be a part of your overall marketing mix. Warrington has a lot of opportunities for you company to reach out for B2B opportunities.

Websites such as:

and others such as:

Don’t forget that your business relies upon an overall marketing mix. SEO can help with some of this but ultimately you should be targeting customers no matter where they are.

To effectively promote your product or service, it’s best to use a combination of traditional and modern marketing. This means using tried-and-true strategies like print ads alongside newer techniques like showcasing the positive experiences of satisfied customers. By using this comprehensive approach, you’ll reach a wider audience and stay ahead of your competitors in today’s competitive market.
